Aikido vs Julitsu?

I need opinions please. Which is more effective in a real-life situation, Aikido or Jujitsu?|||This is a great question, I train in both styles. So I really couldnt say what style would be better because they both teach almost the exact technique. Some are done alittle differently then the next, and some are better then the other. But if you can find a Dojo that teaches both arts then JUMP ON IT by all means. That is what I teach in my dojo both Aikido and JJ .|||Both are very proficient, but since you ask for one I have to go with Aikido for stopping power. If you can master this style no one will touch you.|||For practical applications against other people, I%26#039;d recommend juijitsu. It%26#039;s less flashy, more practical, and lends itself to %26#039;real life%26#039; situations you may find yourself in.

For learning conflict avoidance, and an introspective look into yourself, I%26#039;d recommend aikido. This art tends to take longer to learn (and become effective in), but in the long run, will teach you more than just how to fight.|||They are both derivatives of Aiki-Jujitsu and both good arts.|||-TypellB-

Beautiful question , if you want the best fighting technique for real life situations, I would personally suggest Aikido AND Jiujitsu, but if you only want to stick with one, definitley Jiujitsu, no doubt about it, but the recipe for invincibility would be both of them.

The reason is because if your on the street and more than one person attacks you, you need offense and defense, but your best choice is to do hard offense, Jiujitsu is a beautiful art and so is Aikido, but aikido has no action, its all defense, so it teaches no real lesson to whoever attacks.

Good luck with it.|||They%26#039;re both effective but aikido has a longer learning curve so jujutsu is more effective more quickly. But aikido is definitely the best martial art for learning body movement and power in my opinion so it makes a great first martial art before going into anything else.

But like anything you have to find a good teacher.|||Both suck in a real life situation tbh. Start something that includes boxing. And watch Bas Rutten%26#039;s street defence guide from youtube :)|||Jujitsu. It is more likely to train with resistance than Aikido is.|||BJJ
