How long do you need to train to reach the various dan's in aikido?

that all depends on too many factors to call. Advancement is Martial art is not an exact science. It depends on how much you train, what and how you are taught and how talented you are. And of course a lot depends on the standards of your teacher and the organisation he is in. I%26#039;ve studied aikido for about 10 years and I%26#039;m about to take a first kyu exam. The bar in our organisation is set pretty high and 10 years is about the average time the average person takes to reach a 1st dan. I take longer because the fact that I%26#039;m not a natural talent at it. However persistence is your greatest tool. Keep at it and you%26#039;ll eventually get there.|||5 to 6 year sit depends on the student|||3-6 years to reach 1stBB, then add 2 years after that for each BB after that|||I%26#039;d start at least 42-46 years 6 days a week 7 hrs a day.|||They say if you go 3-4 days a week and are committed it should take 4-5 years to reach the 1st Dan
