Is takagi yoshin ryu were judo and aikido got its roots?

O sensei studied a whole bunch of stuff. A lot of the aikido techniques seem to stem from sword techniques or rather an extension of the sword. I have studied some judo and some aikido. As far as the flow of the technique in aikido, I would say it comes from a lot from the movement of one working the sword in movement. I would say the wrist techniques probably in direction of Jujitsu. Judo does not have any wrist techniques per se. With a lot of aikido, the holding techniques have a lot to do with the wrists and hands.|||Judo was founded by Jigoro Kano, who studied the Tenjin Shin%26#039;yō-ryū form of jujutsu: Tenjin Shin%26#039;yō-ryū being a combination of the two older arts Shin no Shindō-ryū and, yes, Yōshin-ryū.

While Aikido%26#039;s founder, Morihei Ueshiba, also studied Tenjin Shin%26#039;yō-ryū in his early career, Aikido was mainly based on his later studies in Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu.

In short, Takagi Yoshin ryu plays a modestly large part of the roots of judo, and a fairly small part of the roots of aikido. In neither case is it the whole story.
