Are aikido dojos listed under USAF better?

Is there a difference in the quality of aikido tradition and training through dojos listed under the United States Aikido Federation compared to that which are not or part of a mixed martial arts school?|||I think they are. While my studio is not like that I had an Aikido program that was taught by one of their known guys for a while. His skill and teaching was really quite good and he had an excellent background. While I teach some aspects of it in my studio it is nowhere near the quality of his and I know that they really are a pretty tight and cohesive group. He would travel all over the US to anywhere that there was a seminar being put on by one of their reputable masters even if he did not have the money. From what I understand they took him under their wing since he was so dedicated and his skill and ability grew. That organization really prides itself on keeping their standards high and promotions consistent with those standards. I had the pleasure of meeting some of their masters at one of the seminars my friend went to and they were quite good and the attitude of the masters was very cordial and everyone in attendance was on the same page from master to instructor to student. No politics-no ego-no drama; karate organizations should take a lesson from them I think.|||The quality of training is really dependent on the instructor, however I have seen and believe that schools that are affiliated with a national or international organization are more likely to be of a higher quality than one that isn%26#039;t affiliated. Organizational affiliation usually requires that the instructor(s) keep up with certain standards of training, not only for their students, but for themselves as well (i.e. none of that promoting themselves to a higher rank, much less suddenly they%26#039;re 10th Dan black belt), and they usually have a much better lineage of instructors going back to O-Sensei.

Ultimately it is the instructor that makes the quality of the school. There are fine unaffiliated instructors with good lineage.|||I%26#039;m not sure you would find aikido in a mma setting. but accredited dojos typically should be of better quality (in theory, not always in practice)|||USAF stands for United States Air Force.Research the schools in your area. There must be school that is right for what you want.|||I don%26#039;t know of that organization but if I was going to learn Aiki, it would have to be Yoshinkan.
